I came thiiiiiiis close to quoting "Cat's in the Cradle" for the tagline, not because I wanted to, but because I couldn't think of anything else. (I'm pretty sure I used the Vonnegut tagline before. Maybe "Tapestry"? Too lazy to check.)

Janice, because at least Carmela's behavior could potentially benefit someone else.

I think it's an immensely powerful conclusion, because it does something new which still somehow feels entirely connected to the rest of the show. There are finales which strive too hard and overreach themselves; there are finales which barely acknowledge they're an end. This just feels like it could be another

It turns out, TONY WAS DEAD ALL ALONG. Also? A woman.

I don't have a problem with Carrie feeling the way she does. I'm a little more skeptical when it comes to Brody, but sure, it definitely makes sense that he would find something in her he can't find in anyone else. I'm just not sure about the way the narrative of the show embraces their relationship—and again, this is

So, I haven't actually watched the finale yet (I am, in fact, four or five episodes behind; I just like reading Todd's reviews _so much_ that I can't wait for them), but the thing that bothers me about Carrie's relationship with Brody is something that Carrie said earlier in the season. The first episode, actually;

A entirely factual line made utterly perfect by Jasika Nicole's delivery.

I just wish the teenagers didn't sound like they'd stepped out of a '50s movie about juvenile delinquents. The lead bad guy is horrible, and the dialogue he has to spit out is so hilariously dated I thought that was actually going to be a plot point.

Last night on Twitter, a couple of critics mentioned _something_ happening, but they were all vague; I assumed they meant a cameo or big plot twist. (I half expected Nimoy to show up again.) The Python homage was a complete shock, and a glorious one at that.
