I didn't mention it because I think I've answered "something something Stephen King" to roughly half of the AVQAs, but I think IT is the most terrified I've ever been for a sustained period of time.

We didn't have that record, but we did have a storybook/record for Sleeping Beauty. I shit you not, the part where the heroine hears someone calling her name— "Aurrroooorrrraaaa"—off in the distance terrified me for years.

The covers of those books were way scarier than the insides, mainly because all the mysteries played the Scooby Do card.

Yeah, you're right—that's actually a really funny, and smart, way to end the conflict, too. Should've explained it better.

The most amazing thing about the original is that it was shot in about two days and isn't the worst thing ever. (Well, Jonathan Haze said there were a few reshoots, but still.)

Don't think it's his best (Misery, Misery, Misery), but it's up there. But "personal" isn't the word I'd use; I can sort of see what you mean, in that what makes this book scary is that it doesn't have any of the usual protections of King's horror, but to me, what makes it so powerful is that it doesn't feel really

Gwynne's accent in this movie is… something. Yes, it is definitely something.

To me, the changes which keep the dark ending from working as well on screen as it did on the stage happen before "Don't Feed The Plants." I was excited to get this on Blu-Ray—I've been wanting to see the original ending ever since reading about all those DVDs getting recalled—and it really is gorgeous, definitely
