I agree completely.
I agree completely.
Don't pay any attention whatsoever to this review. The aggregate B+ is much closer to the reality of Ozark's true worth.
No. Don't waste your time.
Sorry, but I just never thought the first season did a good job of setting up Joe Miller as the murderer of Danny. There was never a clue in the course of the episodes leading up to the revelation that he was anything but a nice guy, a good husband and dad. Now, Tom Miller, on the other hand, is a sociopathic little…
Not the best episode this season.
Fear the Walking Dead makes its progenitor look like Shakespeare in comparison. The dialogue in the original is not brilliant, but at least the characters sound like actual human beings instead of untalented screenwriters' mouthpieces, spouting silly cliche-ridden nonsense.
I'd never believe for a second that any kid whose parents are sending him through Georgetown would contemplate throwing that away to go to France instead of finishing his education. It's just a ridiculous plot invention.
This is the funniest show on television. Not only is the dialogue pure comedy gold—smart, clever, witty, and completely character-driven—but thanks to the very talented cast, the physical humor is top notch as well. The one comedy series that comes very close is Episodes, which, unfortunately, never gets any…
Watch it again. Once you're not thinking about what you expect it should be you'll enjoy it a lot more.
I think hers is the kind of character who really grows on you. I know that I liked her more and more as time went on. She definitely has the same on-the-spectrum vibe as Peter, which is interesting for a female character. Anyway, I too she's very funny.
You're absolutely correct about this. Unfortunately, there aren't many must see HBO shows in other seasons, though I still do enjoy Girls. But Vinyl was not nearly as good as I hoped, and we all know what happened to True Detective. I'm thinking of cancelling at the end of June.
Dogs are smart. After they took one look at Brienne's fighting skills they hightailed it back to safety. Can't blame them.
You knew that that improbable discovery was going to happen in the last episode when Dany conspicuously (for the viewer) dropped it. It's a classic example of "Chechov's gun."
Maybe the show would be better if the dialogue didn't sound so cookie-cutter and cliched. As it is, it has no authenticity. It's standard fare:
I kind of liked her.
I have taught junior high for close to thirty years, and regularly run into my former students, sometimes after many years have gone by. Usually I know who they are right away, but if not and they tell me, I can see it immediately. That's why I find it thoroughly ridiculous that Adam's family wouldn't know an imposter…
No Tootsie? One of the very best romantic comedies all time. And Moonstruck should be in first place—not the runner up to My Best Friend's Wedding, which actually shouldn't be on the list at all.
Ugh. Everything that Deadwood got right about creating a believable 19th Century story and characters Mercy Street gets utterly wrong. You'd think the writers would've immersed themselves in Twain or Dickens just to get a feel for the way people in the Civil War talked. I know people have already said all this but I…
Definitely a like for Thomas . The whole cast of Silicon Valley is terrific.
Agreed. He was spellbinding really.
