I mean, they even made a feature film out of that trailer:

PAVEMENTS!
I swear Colbert said "Pavements" before commercial break and he looked embarrassed after that.
If you gotta give love to Tintin, you gotta give love t o Asterix too. I don't know how popular in the States, but I always preferred more satirical Asterix to Tintin. (Although the quality has significantly dropped since Goscinny's death)
Gremlins 2 is better than Gremlins.
I hope they manage to make Hugh Laurie guest star as MI-6 guy just like the original.
Vertigo comics
As a comic loving kid in the 80's I had some experience with "mature" titles like Swamp Thing and Arkham Asylum, but I wasn't exactly sure if I was supposed to read them or not.
Honorable mention
WTC Twin Towers from any movie released in 2002.
Holy shit
They put a video ad right next to the feature video? That is so fucking distracting.
Went to see Predators the other day and the movie taught me one thing: The Russians and Japanese are equally as strong as a Predator, but Jews can kick their asses any day.
At least Quasimodo gets the girl in the end.
Deckard and Rachael
They are gonna be doomed regardless of the version you are watching:
Casino Royale was to the Bond movies
So this version will feature numerous Ghost Riders as well as a villain played by Woody Allen, all set in the swingin' London? I hope Burt Bacharach pens the music.
I heard the line "Sweet Zombie Jesus" from Futurama got censored as well, so they clearly worship zombies too.
Dean Norris got snubbed
Congrats on Aaron Paul for the second nomination, but I thought Dean Norris' Hank on Breaking Bad was the most intense character in any show this year. I was really hoping for him to get nominated.
While I can't speak for other markets, I actually got the feeling that he's popular in Japan because his works are nothing like manga or anime, so the WTF factor probably helped. And although he is popular for a foreign artist, he is not mega-popular or anything - he only got famous among urban hipsters who already…
One reason he's popular in Japan is that his comics are wordless, obviously. Foreign comics tend to lose much flavour after being translated to Japanese.
Zappa quote
"Most rock journalism is people who can't write, interviewing people who can't talk, for people who can't read. "
Yeah the Hotel Shade issues up to #50 was fantastic. The series never reached that high after Kathy's death though.
She was in Michael Collins?
The caption on the front page doesn't seem right.
It's hard to believe a show like this can actually make fun of old people (possibly with Alzheimer's) and get away with it. And the portrayal of the Asian family was offensive too.
