Forget this movie.  If you want real entertainment, go through the various Urban Dictionary definitions of 'smurfing'.  Besides the sexual stuff, you have connections to methamphetamine manufacture, money laundering, denial-of-service attacks, and pretty much every other awful thing under the sun.

Please don't go on.

I think we long ago ruled out Guy Incognito as a suspect.  Miami metro started chasing after a dog with a puffy tail and everyone moved on.

Careful with that talk - Jim Bell wrote an essay about that and got persecuted by the feds for his trouble.

If that were enough to sustain an audience, The Cell would be a midnight movie.

I can imagine recasting this review as saying it's a clever pastiche of homages to foundational films, with some original and inventive elements, hampered only by a slightly excessive running time.  A-.

I agree.  It's shameful the show failed to address this cliffhanger.  You don't just give up on your dream of running a restaurant.

It could also have been headed to one of the thousands of employees who works at that campus.

While most of this was indeed an arbitrary pile of nonsense, didn't Georgia have the helicopters set up precisely because the plan was to be ready for an immediate advance when the electricity was turned on?

Or, um, the chemistry between the writers.  No need to bash Megan, who knows what she was up against or what kind of fruitful collaborations led to the great episodes of the first three.

This commentary in that vein was fairly sensible.

This review sold me.  I love overcooked, poorly plotted revenge/thrillers.  Can't wait for the blu-ray!

It's certainly possible to make a counter-argument.  "Food insecurity" is an odd term to begin with and the survey-based statistics have questionable methodology.
Not to mention the conclusion that massive government intervention is necessary even though charities already fill in most of the gap.  You don't have to

Can we please just replace this feature with links to the Numberwang videos?

Do a search for "on the nose" on this site when you get a chance.  It's pretty frightening.

This review makes it sound like the majority of the book spends its time on Haggis and other famous folk, which could render it unreadable for me.  Is that actually the case, or is it more balanced?

Not true.  I'm a fan of Autechre as well but I totally get why people don't like them.  Ditto for plenty of my favorite horror movies.

As a fan, I really don't get why people don't like them.  I've had people complain the songs are too repetitive, but that's true for lots of music, and the average track length on Halcyon Digest is only a bit over 4 minutes.

Yeah it's like everyone forgot what happened to Pheidippides at the end.

It's raining dogs and cats out there.
