If you like the pacing and the general feel of a 1930's Hollywood movie, you can easily enjoy a Shirley Temple film. "Heidi" is a good one. The amount of movies she starred in is incredible for a girl her age.

My Dad, who was born in 1926, always loved Shirley Temple movies and it wasn't until years later he explained how seeing a Shirley Temple movie during the Depression was a huge treat.

I am so grateful that Canada's CBC-TV will broadcast the Opening Ceremony live at 11am this morning. Since, I'm at work, I'm recording it and will be able to enjoy it without all the NBC crapola and commercials on their tape delay. Living near the Canadian border has its perks.
