Although
I didn't see Vertigo til later. Hitchcock actually has a lot of more tame movies that, for a child, could be looked at as merely mysteries. Such as The 39 Steps, The Man Who Knew Too Much, and some others I can't remember.
Scarily,
That is seriously really true.
The Old Movie Debate
Personally, I love old movies. On the other hand, I was raised on them. My father collects old movies and has about somewhere between 7-10,000 old movies, either taped off of TCM, AMC, old old Cinemax in the 80's or retail-bought. Oh, and all on VHS. The first time I saw The Big Sleep I was 9…
Is it just me
Or were there a lot of typos in this article?
And excuse me
but I was 5 when Jem came out, so I had no idea what the name of the show was. It was completely erased from my memory. All but the PCP warnings.
That's me! That's my question!
That's my question about Jem!! WHOOO! I'm a superstar! I'm famous! I'm respected by Noel Murray! He likes Jem!
Read Adam Bede by George Eliot
and then you will understand the necessary evil that is legal abortion.
GO JEWS AND THEIR NEUROTIC PROBLEMS!
I like it
when AV Club writers use yiddish words.
It's just sad
to think that Ben Stiller used to be a comic genius on the Ben Stiller Show and now he's doing dog crap like this.
I had heard
that the documentary was mostly about questioning the worth of modern art and whether modern abstract can actually be qualified as "art" or if it is actually just inherently silly. But that doesn't seem to be one of the themes talked about in the review. Are these themes in the movie at all?
Noodle
I really like your analysis of Dexter. I hadn't thought of it that way, I had been thinking more along the lines of Tobias. Thanks for an interesting alternate look.
And yeah
The Killing is NOT overrated!
Petro1
He didn't say that Pro-choice was less passionate, he was merely saying that there was a stronger intellectual vein with regard to pro-choice matters, whereas with pro-life, the entire matter is more emotional and religious and not intellectual.
Demetri Martin
is Quality. Shit, I'll watch it.
I loved it
And I didn't find it too "cutesy" at all. It's obviously supposed to be surreal and fairy-tale like. When that kind of thing is done right, it's refreshing and invigorating.
Mr. Hyden
I am offended by your irreverence toward Scrubs fans, even if said irreverence made me laugh out loud.
X-Files
I like the several X-Files references in this review. That is my favorite show of all time, at least up until season 7.
Fish Out of Water
is an overly sensitive prick. Get over it.
