Grapes of Wrath and How Green Was My Valley: Sentimental Melodrama= yes. That doesn't mean that the subject and themes in those movies was pompous or overreaching. Definitely NOT. Actually, at least with HGWMV, it's incredibly moving and relatable.

Friedkin is very underrated I think, despite the huge successes of The Exorcist and The French Connection. I also think he's earned the right to be humorless and eccentric, although I do think it was funny when Nathan made the comment about the Exorcist being a modern Tracy and Hepburn…

I thought she was pretty good and her voice is kind of sexy. I've never seen Weeds so I don't know if it's a good show or not, but her acting isn't half as bad as I expected.
