I thought the book was mediocre, but the movie is pretty terrible.

I think we're going down the birth control road, yeah. I do wonder whether or not they'll have time to fit in a debate about eugenics during a show that focuses on gangsters from the 1920s.

I'm waiting more for the "wait, your name is Niggygetdown" line of questioning. Personally, I don't care, but interesting nickname.

Well, while my predictions of Eli's demise last year were rather premature, I can see him slowly taking the lessons he's learned in prison, he does seem to be a bit quieter, less angry fellow than he once was, only to get killed off around episode eleven. I don't see him betraying Nucky, but I wouldn't be surprised if…

I got a kick out of two small things this week. The first was in the credits where we see Jack Huston's name appear next to half of Nucky's face, which I thought was a nice touch (I'm not sure if this was discussed last week or not, but I don't believe it appeared that way last season). The second was either a…

I'm enjoying this season so far as well. And I think you're correct in seeing it as a bridge year, with Hader and Sudeikis, and who knows who else, leaving at season's end.

Amen brother.

Oh, and the little people were back from the pilot. I thought that was a nice touch as well.

Van Alden losing the contest because his co-workers and boss dislike him had a strangely familiar ring. Without a badge and a gun, his odd nature is going to be even less tolerated than it was before. I imagine he'll be picking up the latter relatively soon. The whole door to door montage was great.
