It's the depression. It's quite possible that the family has broken up.

I'll criticize Boardwalk Empire for what I see as its faults but it is without question an order of magnitude better than Sons of Anarchy.

I'd put Harrow and Rothstein as the MVPs.

This was once my favorite show on television. I'm not sure if it's the rather rushed ending (the time jump didn't do them any favors except to set up Nucky's death in the most predictable way possible and the establishment of a new order in organized crime) or that I feel like they killed off their most compelling

Thank God, I thought he was going to completely fuck up adapting another Mark Helprin novel.

#7 And so began the great Flanderization of Ron Swanson in which the breakout character of the series was gradually reduced to a walking internet meme. See also Schrute, Dwight.

The AV Club had a bit of a different opinion than Daly, or for that matter his interviewer, on this album a decade ago. No name on the review but fairly favorable. http://www.avclub.com/artic…

I'm assuming that Meechum will be the one to pull the trigger. I

It's not bad. His Cicero novels are better.

Well, I guess this answers the question of what would happen if someone decided to half ass an adaptation of a Mark Helprin novel to the screen. It really does sadden me. Helprin was one of my favorite authors when I was younger and although his recent output isn't nearly as strong as his earlier works, A Soldier of

I was hoping that this was going to be an adaptation of the Robert Harris novel. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case. Instead, this looks like a vastly inferior version of Gladiator with a volcano.

I think Instant Crush might actually be my favorite song that they've ever done.

It's always a shame to see someone in the prime of his life whose work brought happiness to so many die. That he was, by all accounts I've read, a thoroughly decent, modest individual who used his celebrity to help others makes his untimely passing even sadder.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is only six episodes long and well worth watching. All of the episodes are on Youtube.

I remember Profit being great when I watched it a while back (it got a DVD release). I'm hoping that wasn't just wishful thinking on my part.
