I like the show a lot. It reminds me of Rome in a way. Not a whole heck of a lot of people were into it, but those of us who were really like it.

I enjoy Boardwalk Empire as well, but I too worry about it's future. Removing one of your most dynamic character will do that to a show. But anyway, yeah, if they get bogged down in a Star Wars Prequelesque nonsense over a land deal I don't know where they can go.

Well, not to be that asshole (several days late, I might add) but SPOILER, I do wonder about the fate of a program when you kill your secondary main character who was, I'd argue, the better of the two leads. Still, looking forward to season three in a little more than two months.

I see where you're coming from, even though I think the advertising is nice and sublime (maybe it flatters my intellectual vanity in the worst way). There Will Be Blood, whose teaser, if I remember right, is just Plainview's semi-monologue with his brother about how he hates people remains my favorite trailer of all…

I think Punch Drunk Love is pretty good, although it's probably least of his films (I've only seen Hard Eight/Sydney once and a number of years ago on VHS). Oddly enough, even though I think its brilliant, Magnolia never had the impact on me that his second and fifth films did. I'd put Boogie Nights right next to L.A.…

So, Paul Thomas Anderson: greatest director of his generation or not?

Hoffman already has one though from, I think, within the past decade.
