He fixes the cable?

I remember reading that the theme for season one was only used in the US and the chanting theme was used from the beginning internationally. I could be wrong.

Actually, it'd have been almost better if she'd turned out to be a character from Rent the way her arc went. I mean, they turned one of the more interesting and badass characters of the series into a muddled seeker. Just sad. Trying to think of a character with a worse development on the show.

I always remember Black Market as a season three episode. Perhaps that's due to my bias against the second half of the series, but regardless, it's a terrible episode.

I can't agree with you more. Battlestar Galatica from season one until the end of the New Caprica plotline is fantastic. From that point on it remains a decent, albeit declining, series but it's sort of sad to speculate on how good it could have remained if they had just jettisoned some of the more over the top

Clearly you're not counting his tour de force performance in the Alvin and the Chipmunks trilogy.

Does that make Tom Waits the slightly more grizzled cousin who spent a couple of years in a Mexican prison back in the 70s?

Obligatory best Dylan album thread.

Is Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts an underated song? Because, if so, I'd put it on your list.

I heard this one on my Pandora feed one night and just fell in love with it. Definitely one of my favorite late period Dylan songs (Working Man's Blues 2).

I too was intrigued by her rapping on Monster. Unfortunately I haven't heard anything else that justifies my listening to any more of her music.

You a stupid hoe.

Cracked is funny enough but has started to go downhill as their regular writers age and begin to find the culture passing them by. If I wanted to read barely funny columns on alcoholism I still wouldn't want to read John Cheese. Michael Swaim remains hilarious and I miss those faux diner conversations.

I liked the Clint Eastwood commercials better but this was the strongest of the new year, and, aside from the Jimmy Fallon episode, the best of the season.

Do you mean Jean, because P&R will be back next week.

Can't respond to I will Probably, so I'll respond to myself; L.A. Confidential was a hit, albeit largely if you factor in foreign revenue. It made 64 million domestic on a budget of 35 million, and another 61 million abroad for 125 million total. Domestic box office puts it at 24th for the year.

You most certainly appear to be correct.

That Bronson Pinchot interview was awesome.

I'd put his role in Leon above The Dark Knight, as well as his work in The Firm, True Romance and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Yep, there isn't too much that's missed from the novel either. The serial killer subplot, Vincennes alcoholism and basically all of Exley's personal life got cut, and only the third part might have been interesting to watch.
