He's certainly in the conversation although I think he's hurt himself by  appearing in so many paycheck movies (I don't begrudge him his money, but he's been in some awful films). That keeps him from having Daniel Day-Lewis stats, but he's still up there.

Oldman's never been nominated for an Academy Award either, which is just crazy.

Might as well ask where's Firefly with these people. What a terrible group of nominees. Glee? Seriously, fucking Glee? Boss over Breaking Bad. Nothing for Community. No Nick Offerman or Gary Oldman.

I hear 311 at work fairly often (I work at a restaurant, most of the kitchen staff are in their late 20s, early 30s and control Pandora/Ipod), along with the other "greatest" hits of the 90s.
You're pretty spot on in very little changing here. I've lived in BR since 2002 and the only thing I've noticed is Mike V died

Wow. I don't watch Glee but this sounds so bad it might be worth checking out. Then again, North (the inspiration for Todd's quote from Roger Ebert) sucked out loud and wasn't even worth watching as riffing material. Oh, decisions, decisions.

Still shockingly popular in south Louisiana.

Yeah, I read that too. We'll see.

They could be putting a good face on it, but both Winter and Pitt seem to have a great respect for each other. The former said it was an artistic decision and the latter doesn't seem to exhibit any poor will for his departure. At least, that's according to the interviews I've read (there's probably some truth to all

Definitely Christopher Moltisanti, right down to the mercy kill (I mean, yeah, murdering your nephew and heir is still murder, but Christopher was a dead man or in jail regardless in the near future). I don't see Paulie though. Jimmy, for all his faults, still had some decency in him, such as his friendship with

"It's your suicide note."

I think I'd place Boardwalk Empire as my number two drama behind Game of Thrones. I like Mad Men, although I do think it's starting to decline. I've watched Breaking Bad, recognize that it is excellent, but it honestly doesn't do much for me. Other than that, there isn't too much on right now that particularly

I believe he loves the children. He's always had a soft spot for them and clearly mourns the loss of his own son.

Mickey's gotten more interesting but I'm still of the belief that in his case less is more.

I'm assuming that she'll control Tommy's money while he remains a minor. God knows if she puts it in the market she'll do well for another eight years or so.

He's basically Vic Mackey with an elective office instead of a badge at this point. Maybe he's not there yet (and historically he never was), but I think we're getting the feeling that besides his stepchildren he'd fuck everyone over to stay afloat. After all, he murdered his surrogate son.

It sort of amazes me that at one point, not too distant in the past, we could point to Sons of Anarchy as one of the top dramas (I'd even argue top five) on  air. For me, the break was the kidnapping of Jax's son in the season two finale, which led to the grinding halt of season three. I stopped watching halfway

Not to be cute, but since the series often felt like two parallel shows about  two different men (Jimmy and Nucky rarely shared the screen together all that often once the former left for Chicago) who lived in the same town, you could argue that it was. Now they'll fold in the few characters who weren't killed

This might count as a SPOILER, but just remember that even the historical characters were mortal men. Some of them won't survive the 20s.

Speaking of that knife, what do you bet Harrow's keeping that in his boot next season?

I'll really miss the angle that you mention. Without Jimmy, and to a much lesser extent Angela, we really won't get to see any fairly normal people growing up in the Roaring 20s. For all his pathos and his violence, Jimmy was probably the most normal, grounded character in the whole series. The interview with Winter
