I also thought it'd be interesting to have her on the island - she'd finally see the other side to Sam that she had only heard about, especially heard a lot recently from the gov. Plus seeing Sam wrestle with being 2nd in command with a wife always hanging around, presumably meeting locals and getting in to some sort

Watched Pitch Perfect - Excellent, fun movie. While it was hard to believe most of those kids were college-aged, loved the group dynamics and the singing. Anna Kendricks has a great voice and was fun to watch. Skylar Astin, please sing to me throughout the day.

Thoughts on last night? I caught the performances but skipped most of the chatter for the football game. Nick didn't seem as strong to me last night, but I still love him. Amanda is still top notch in my book. I enjoyed both of her songs so much. I wasn't too moved by Trevin's first song, but his second got me. I

Haha, I feel you about Dez. I knew going into this episode that I would be sad about at least one person going home, but I'm still sad it was Cody. I do agree that Dez leaving makes it a little easier to get over though. The one thing that makes Cody leaving feel a little better was seeing Cee Lo with his teams from

Agreed! I'm loving Cody. His performances are always fun and entertaining, and he sounds fantastic at the same time. Each week I'm excited to see what he takes on and how he makes it his own. He's definitely a unique performer, a factor which some of the other contestants are lacking.

I don't remember that moment happening to me, though I'm sure it did… but my sister (who is three years older than me) once "ran away from home" when she was like 10, and my parents forced her to take me with her. Pretty sure they had the same attitude with that ploy…

I haven't read anything else by Green yet, though they're on my list (which is too long anyways). I've heard great things though!

Still haven't watched last night's episode, but based on everything else this season, I agree entirely. They're killing it this season - it feels like everyone in the family has had a strong story (maybe except Camille and Zeek?) that I love.

I saw this last week- some hilarious outtakes from the flirtation scene b/t Johnson and Jamie Lee Curtis. Highly recommend: http://www.vulture.com/2012…

Your interpretation is spot on (and much more put together than the rambling that I wrote from work earlier today). And I agree, I've tried to describe the book to other friends, and it comes off just like Picoult or other authors who may prey more on emotion than substance.

Agreed- love that book. I read it about 7 months ago, and reread it recently and it was still just as touching (and tear-inducing). A friend of mine works in a children's hospital and does research with cancer kids and said it was one of the few books about kids with cancer that actually gets a lot right - they're

Haha fair, those discussions are excellent too.
