I agree. The show dwells on Rick grief, or that of whomever has most recently lost someone, be it Carl, Carl, or someone else.  Glenn presumably had family before this happened, so he should be at least familiar with the same emotional space that Rick is in, and the same goes for everyone on the show.

"Well, Carl, Oscar is the night when Hollywood's brightest stars come out to shine.  Unfortunately, they're all dead now."

All those folks who at some later point died.  "Remember when I did that thing that a short while later didn't matter at all?"

They need to trim his pants leg a bit more.  In several scenes with Hershel walking on his crutches, you could see a flap of cloth sticking out at a peculiar angle on the stump leg, as if it were laying on a leg that he was holding up off the ground while he crutched his way around..

My guess is that they were the last choices, used to fill out the teams when other, more easily-placeable choices declined to return.
