One of the things that really takes me out of a show is when a number of "new" characters join a group of our heroes on a mission, and all of the new ones, but only the new ones, end up dying.  It really highlights how the writers make the main cast effectively bulletproof.  You can shoot at Charlie and Miles all day

The Ralph side of the plot was unsatisfying on most levels, from the implication that Ralph and company felt that sneaking into a secure Air Force base and knocking a completely innocent MP unconscious, to the evil government contractor shooting at Ralph as he drives through the desert.

What spoiled the episode for me was Ralph cold-cocking the MP when they snuck into the secure section.  Similarly, while they showed Ralph's Air Force friend pretend that he had captured Ralph at the base, they never showed how that played out.  Don't the other MPs follow up afterward?
