Do you know what your Chief of Police in the town where you live looks like?  I would say that a good number of people in a given city do not.  Although Monroe is relatively civic-minded, and there would have been a chyron on the footage identifying Renard, so the point still holds.

Although I sometimes recognize the bit players, to me it is usually easier to guess the culprit as the character who least needs to have a line in a scene.  In the episode where the secretary came in with the coffee, as soon as she had a line, I knew she would soon be a part of the plot.  I didn't recognize the

People in fairy tales seem to be able to become unconscious at will.  I was waiting for either Henry or Aurora to say that they weren't remotely sleepy.  At least Snow and Charming's naps were drug-induced.
