as gruesome and cynical as the ending of expose is, the variable gets my vote for most brutal lost ending.

watch season 1's white rabbit back to back with season 5's 316. you really get a sense of how lost was sometimes able to spin meta narratives through multiple seasons.

i assumed harper did for sure see those photos and realize how much juliet looked like lafleur's wife.

is that who was on the outrigger chasing sawyer et al?

when widmore is exiled from the island, ben implies that it is for ordering the purge, and that the exile comes at jacob's behest.

in my head canon an adult aaron and ji-yeon (now married) seek out the island and find a middle-aged walt and jack (now a smoke monster) along with an ageless ben n hurley.

i believe the reason why richard thinks ben should be the leader is NOT because of anything jacob said, but rather because jack and kate brought ben to richard, telling him how important this boy is. and all this comes after richard had already met ben once and discovered ben could commune with the island's ghosts.

in the official podcast after this episode, they said it may or may not be jacob in the cabin, it is definitely "a dude." that always stuck out to me.

the ben/widmore feud really fizzled out.

i had never thought of that. when ben met richard, richard was in a wig and costume.

i assumed they were foreshadowing his black rock days with his long hair and attire.

wasn't ellie hawking pregnant on the island? the others were able to have kids up to and thru the 70s. oh wait but alex was born in the 80s. when did the thing that made people not able to have babies happen?

did we ever learn what caused the pregnancy problem? i remember sawyer saying in the 70s that whatever caused it hadn't happened yet. are we supposed to presume that it was the incident???

i loved across the sea, hated the end. i think people thought across the sea would finally nail down the what-is-the-island questions, and all we really got was a mystery cave with a mystery pool of water.

if you recall, they failed to nail nestor carbonell down as a series regular in seasons 4 and 5, leading to them pushing off the richard flashbacks til the final season… which served to abbreviate his entire back story.

during the final season, it bugged me that richard had 1800s hair in the 70s, but not the 50s.

so… the thing in the cabin was the man in black? why then did the jacob-worshippers who came to the island on the ajira flight (season 5) head straight for the cabin looking for jacob? the circle of ash around the cabin comes back in season 6, when we are told it is part of dogen's magic to keep the smoke monster out.

merle
leonard pierce only hated the michael rooker character because secretly leonard price wants to shout the N word from the top of a building in atlanta. he thinks its his destiny!!

unless poe ever used the N-word ironically, i'm not interested!!!!!!!!

rogen has yet to prove his chops as a hollywood star…. and he doesnt deserve to be paid as highly as established stars like denzel and matt damon, but he has been very funny in every big movie he's been in so far (whether they were hits or not is another subject). even going back as far as freaks and geeks, rogen has
