Favorite story I heard on a podcast this year: Penn Jillette recounting on The Nerdist what happened when a little person and a chimp both came to his birthday party. According to him it's well-known in the circus world that you never put a chimp and a little person in the same room.
Forgot about that episode - it was great. That episode, little Joey Hodges from popchips, their hatred of the Very Cherry Jelly Belly pudding and the constant riffing made it my favorite podcast of 2011.
I love his podcast, but admit that I usually fast forward the Great Undiscovered Project section. However, the Jen Kirkman story bits are fantastic. Her story about taking a class to overcome her fear of flying was one of my favorite podcast moments of the year.
