It's surprising that detailed analysis of slightly funny pieces doesn't make them funnier.

The ghost of the lawnmowered foot … sometimes you can hear it clomping around at night, looking for its owner.

#2 — exactly, they can't deny they stole it from Coulton.

Favorite story I heard on a podcast this year:  Penn Jillette recounting on The Nerdist what happened when a little person and a chimp both came to his birthday party.  According to him it's well-known in the circus world that you never put a chimp and a little person in the same room.

Forgot about that episode - it was great.  That episode, little Joey Hodges from popchips, their hatred of the Very Cherry Jelly Belly pudding and the constant riffing made it my favorite podcast of 2011.

I love his podcast, but admit that I usually fast forward the Great Undiscovered Project section.  However, the Jen Kirkman story bits are fantastic.  Her story about taking a class to overcome her fear of flying was one of my favorite podcast moments of the year.
