According to Jeff Lynne, Del Shannon was never going to replace Roy in the Wilburys.  However both Jeff and Tom Petty worked on Del's final album "Rock On" which is really worth hearing.  It even sounds Wilburyesque.

I like this guy.  I heard an interview he did recently on NPR.  I don't really get what he does or particularly enjoy his music or beats or whatever… but he seems like a real creative guy with a real joy of playing with sounds and I have to give that absolute respect.

That's a really good list… and I am huge One on One fan.  Not sure why it doesn't get as much love as some others.  Also I have to say their latest (The Latest) is similar to Rockford but maybe even better as far as late CT goes.  I also like the 97 album.

This is America though where there is a first amendment and so forth so attacking protesters isn't kosher here.
