He looks like Pete Ham
…although maybe that's a bad comment to 'hang' on him.

Move Like This
So far I love the 2 tracks I've heard especially "Blue Tip." While it does sound like the Cars it doesn't at all sound retro to me. I can't wait to hear the whole album.

The Cars have a bad reputation in concert based mostly on the last couple of tours. At that point in time they were basically robots who were 100 yards apart on some huge techno stage while sequencers performed their music and they sort of just went through the motions.

5 words for you…
Broadway Danny Rose

Too Tough to Die is also pretty killer
It is indeed tough… but then it also has moments of sweet pop goodness. It's maybe a little stranger than some of their other albums but worth a listen.

Bloody 'ell! So when they say he's a 'wimpy kid' does that mean he enjoys a hamburger now and again?

"Wasn't too bad" basically describes most of it. I've really loved about 2 or 3 songs from every one of his albums since Scary Monsters… but generally none of them are as strong as the material he did before Scary Monsters including his 60s debut.

Good Morning America
Apparently one of his new enemies is the dressing room at Good Morning America. But he showed that mofo a thing or 2.

Sorry to go on about this… but to take the Bowie example again… during that time critics/music writers would actually probe deeper into an artist for their motivation or inspiration than they do now. If Bowie comes out with Ziggy… they would ask what it means/why is he dressed that way/what is next? Now sometimes

I think though you could say quite a bit about Ziggy Stardust in terms of what it meant… the real rise and fall of stars / how an alien might interpret and exploit that for his own gain / and how that could ultimately lead to his own corruption and ultimate fall (in a way almost like Man Who Fell to Earth: The Rock

But the thing is that is the reason it DID survive. It was all friendly. It was all hand shakes and cocktails. It was when the corporate interests took over completely that things went south fast. People blame digital for the fall of the record industry… but the truth is that it really happened much earlier. It's

There have been any number of great rock bands that could continue to make great rock music post-40. However… Green Day's shtick has been the 'angry youth' thing. And that's fine. But when you are no longer an angry youth and you call your album "Awesome as F**k" while your music is about as vital and angry as

Well there are some stories about the over-the-top stuff too. Like when Harris was asked to go on a drug run for George Clinton. But this story has a nice balance to it. Part crazy times/part business story/part rock'n'roll history.

Not a ton of depth? Understatement.

You are wrong. The book is an awesome read.
I've read it 3 times.

CONFESSIONAL - OHBOY: "I was really too hard on Todd. I completely exaggerated the timeline too. But he didn't get angry. Still I couldn't back down."
