I think they have an acceptable claim to the description. Pyromania is indeed rad.
I think Killers is a more solid set, but Phantom is without a doubt the best song of the Di'Anno era.
Gotta love those guys. They may not be innovators per se, but "imagining that Judas Priest made Painkiller in 2004 and then kept doing that" is a noble enough mission for me.
Heartily endorsed. Never has the sight of an AVC headline made me happier. Especially glad to see the appreciation foe Witchfinder General, even as a footnote.
His Twitter's a pretty reliable source of OWNAGE, if you're into that.
My dad IS Phil. He gets upset when we tell him that, though.
He's proably written all the great songs he'll ever write, but his live show is still awesome. It was a couple of years ago, at least.
Jason Bonham on drums.
@avclub-749a8e6c231831ef7756db230b4359c8:disqus Am I remembering wrong? I haven't actually watched the scene in a while. I won't contest that.
To be fair, Greedo isn't threatening to just kill him right there. He's making threats, but he's there as a reminder that Han still owes Jabba.
It sounds like it was good for its time, but in the age of giants like Dawes this album has been forgotten.
For my two cents, the depth of EVH's solos (and post-EVH shred solos in general) becomes apparent if you think of them in terms other than just melody. By playing at those speeds and with all that technique, he's able to really control the shifts in the *sound* of the guitar, and that's what he's really communicating…
You seem like a nice guy.
This is almost certain.
I got into classic rock in my early teens, ten or so years ago, and it took me until two or three years ago to start really liking VH. I, too, always felt like I liked them more on paper than in practice—I like insane guitar solos! I like them a lot!—but something about the hooky pop feel of the songwriting put me…
Hey there. I'm here from the future to congratulate you on beating the internet to this conclusion by about 3 months.
Right, but the issue isn't just where/when he is. He had power when he went to the JG earth, and he wasn't there that long. He was starting to run out before they went back to WWII. It's not the time travel that did it; he was just out of juice.
He'd need his battery, which wouldn't have been on Earth during WWII.
Yeah, they're pretty much the bottom of the barrel for superhero movies. At least BATMAN AND ROBIN is fun to hate.
