Nice job illustrating your opinion.
Agreed. It's silly and trying too hard to be both angst-ridden and overly earnest.
PHM Better Than Downward Spiral
Despite the somewhat dated sound, I still find Pretty Hate Machine a more enjoyable end-to-end album than The Downward Spiral.
Mainstream Sellouts
Exile In Guyville was such a calculated radio record with all those airplay friendly singles like "Fuck and Run" and "Flower".
Back around the time Season 2 first came out on DVD, I was going through a rough patch in my life where sleep was hard to come by. At the time I received the box-set in the mail it had been about three weeks since I'd gotten more than a couple hours sleep a night.

I'm not sure I'd call Abbruzzese generic, he was a talented drummer who wrote parts that fit well with PJ's songs, but he's not even in the same league as Matt Cameron.

RED
Brian Cox seems to have an affinity for movies with this title:
The only blurb on the book jacket
is from Michael Bay.
When I first saw the title
my mind automatically conjured up this movie:
RIP DFW
I'm sorry this is the last thing I'll be able to read from such a talented and thoughtful writer.
I'm honestly confused about all the 360 comparisons.
People who don't have time to read
shouldn't become writers. If you can't put in the effort to study your own craft then maybe you should try a less demanding pursuit like stamp collecting.
I'm 33 and have worked at a High School for almost a decade.
