Yes, Portman signed the Polanski petition; just like so many other people I used to respect.

@Sallad
Apparently omnivore equals rape
I like Portman fine as an actor, but after reading about her equating eating meat to rape I find her public persona rather grating.
How could you not love Full Throttle? It was absolutely wonderful.
Lead Singer Syndrome
"Why guitarist Jerry Cantrell and company would risk sullying that reputation by recruiting a new singer to replace late frontman Layne Staley is anyone's guess."

The Hostel Formula
Take three parts Porkies, mix in one part unintentionally-hilarious gore, bake in oven for 94 minutes and then let sit until horrible.
One of the only writers to really pull off the style/substance equation for me is Nabokov. The guy wrote poetry and disguised it as prose.
@JCrowemancer
drat, one too many ofs
I've always been fascinated with the debate over simple vs. ornate prose.
Agreed on Slither being good. The cast all did a great job and the plot was a nice homage to the B-movie Creature Features from the 50s and 60s.
Ack, I meant tongue-in-cheek. Tongue-in-check sounds like an Eastern Bloc porno.
I thought Teeth was actually fairly clever and a lot of fun.
Apple IIe Version
Nearly impossible to control, an exercise in frustration, and still I couldn't stop myself from playing it.
Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered
You really didn't enjoy this episode?
Two douche enter, one douche leaves.

Masters Of Horror
Wendt was in a MOH episode called "Family" that cast him as a homicidal maniac masquerading as a suburban milquetoast. It was similar in tone to the X-Files episode "Arcadia".
A part of me is really hoping that Fox gives Dollhouse another season if for no other reason than to apologize for screwing Whedon so badly on Firefly.
