I was only trying to highlight one of the many ways in which the show depicts everyone as always slighly in over their heads, unable to have definite full justifications of their actions or controls over their destiny. In my mind, the problem of the justification of war was a subcase of the problem of any

Well, of course Rob is a "good guy", not mistreating the prisoners and all, but does the pacifist nurse approve of Rob's war ? How far can any war be just(ified) ? I'm asking that question because I believe the show is asking it through that nurse.

I feel like having a downer episode like this one with so much maleficience is used as a good opportunity for the show to play with the blurry line between delusive self-justification vs chess-player pragmatism. I'm what could be described as a big casual fan of Community, in that that show helped me in a difficult time, but I find it every time harder to relate to those "normal" episodes of Community where pretty much nothing is said that wasn't said before, so i wonder : how do you guys hardcore Avclub fans manage to keep
