yes. Danny is ridiculous. Compared to the other past bosses (Irving, last season's sheriff) he's nothing but a playground bully. His only contribution is as a romantic partner for Abbie, and we'd all rather see her with the guy who makes her foam self-portraits.

I hoped for a Remington Steele story, but otherwise, pretty nice interview.

I likes the books even better than the Hitchiker's Guide series.

Schmidt's demands upon Jess at the cake tasting got to me. MG really worked it.

Miller's voice was much softer than usual this episode. I found myself straining to hear his convo with the killer in the interview room. Anybody else have a problem hearing?

Schmidt's just-been-flashed face was just a sight to behold.

I am comforted by the idea of Hawes moving to Boise to be chief M.E.

yes. you might also remember him as Mr Noodle on Sesame Street, and dancing along with Robin Williams in the video for Don't Worry, Be Happy. That's part of why its such a kick to see him act as the baddie.

The opening of the episode, with Crane singing along to an opera recording while cooking (he DOES know better than than skillet cooking frozen lasagna, apparently) was really enjoyable.
An episode with Bill Irwin and Michael O'Keefe and even a scene with them together, was a kick. Even though I've seen them both in

I didn't remember that. Thanks.

I wonder how Tim Allen would do as a host. He's a big ABC star, with a stand up comedy background.

Young Winston had the mannerisms down perfectly.

Crane wanted to go for an "Early Burr" special. Hee.
"We're a succulent family now!" Loved it.
Betsey Ross continues to be a drag.

I disagree. As stated in the review, it opens up several points that could be developed further, and it puts Holmes in a new context for the show. I enjoyed it all.

Victor hiding the ring in the litter box was the funniest thing to me. So many cats!

Howard's expression of dismay when he realized his son might look like him topped by his realization that his DAUGHTER might look like him was simultaneously funny and heartbreaking.

"Its the opposite of easy. Its difficult." Ah, Schmidt.
And Winston is just adorable, even in a pineapple shirt.

Glad there wasn't much Betsy Ross this week. Unfortunately, there wasn't much humor this week either. I miss quipster Crane. My favorite part of the Crane/Mills interplay was the bantering. Maybe the show will get back to it now that they are both earthbound again.

Her first enemy? Anyone remember that Gina Gershon's character tried to kill Joan (but killed her boyfriend instead.)?

Gina forgets to tell everyone about the bunker exercise, and contributes even less than Hitchcock and Scully to finding the solution. I even prefer the Vulture to Gina.
