Read The Devil's Star and liked it pretty well.  Plus, how can you not like a protagonist named Harry Hole?

You should read A Biography of God by Jack Miles, if you haven't already.  Good stuff.

Much agreed.  Pretty much anything by that mad effer Mel Gibson since his Road Warrior movies…ok and I'll add Braveheart, but damn if he hasn't become a rage-filled anti-Semite.

Agreed. A. Lee Martinez is always a fun and easy read. The Automatic Detective didn't disappoint.  Haven't read this one yet, but will soon!
