When he and Joan were getting ready for the beach I thought, "Oh he's a good guy." But then when he went to Pete with the nurse recommendation I was back to thinking he's just an opportunist. He could just be nice, but his character has been built up in a way that I can't believe he's 100% genuine.

This was my favorite episode this season. It was a little soap opera-y, especially the Abe stabbing- but that's why I watch anyway.

NonsensicalLyric- the Mad Men store on the AMC site actually does have copies for sale (or they used to).

I want to see an episode where Roger and Jim Cutler (Harry Hamlin) have to go to Leica in Germany. The debauchery I am envisioning is epic.

I think that in real life Pete's secretary is probably very pretty, but they have always styled her in a way that emphasized the wrong features. Last night she looked much, much better then she has in previous episodes.

The part of Cutler, Gleason and Chaough that is not Ted Chaough or the guy with cancer.

Part of Herb's awfulness was of SCDP's own making, though. By giving in to his demand to sleep with Joan or lose Jaguar they sent the message that they were willing to do whatever he wanted. So it shouldn't have been surprising that he kept throwing his weight around.

"I think the guy who plays Bob is too high-profile to just be the punchline for that much longer."

I don't know. Leo Burnett died in the 70s, Bill Bernbach and Ned Doyle (the B and one of the D's in DDB), both died in the 80s, and David Ogilvy died in the 90s and all their agencies still have their names. I guess it's just something agencies do?

Right? I'll have to watch the episode again, but I don't remember her being particularly big either. Tall, yes, but not heavy.

Oh and, so far, I'm enjoying Harry Hamlin's character. He seems to be a walking talking Shag character.

Very true, but it is still a risk.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned that, once again, SCDP's proposed campaign did not show the product. Don is really attached to this idea. The Infiniti Q45 in the early 90's had a campaign where no car was shown and it was a horrible failure.

I want Peggy and Ted together, too, for some reason. In previous season he was slimy, but he's been tolerable this season. Abe and Peggy are just too different now. I think she wishes she were as free thinking as Abe (who looks more and more like Frank Zappa every week), but she's just not and I think she's realizing

It was Gene Rayburn! This is the first picture that came up when I googled and I can see why I was scared of him.

I think Abe looks like Frank Zappa, too, but I can't stop laughing at Jewish Johnny Cash.

The Joan hug was hilarious. I think it would have been awkward no matter who she was hugging. I love her, but Joan is not exactly warm and cuddly. She looked adorable in her evening gown and glasses.

If Cunt Punt begins to smoke, get away immediately. Seek shelter and cover head.

He's starting to look like a corny vampire that would host the monster of the week movie.

I forgot about that, but you are right. I'm not a fan of Megan, but she doesn't strike me as the type to put up with too much of his crap. I certainly don't think she would put up with his infidelity like Betty did (remember when she confessed to the psychiatrist that she knew he was cheating?).  If she finds out
