I'm with you. It reminds me of the Garden State stuff. Creed sold a ton of records, but good luck finding anyone today who will claim to have bought them. Garden State was really well reviewed, but it's crapped on left and right now (including here).

We moved our son out of his old daycare because they started computer time at 3. One place we looked at was investing in tablets for the kids (extremely limited functionality) in the 2-year old class. They said the kids could play on the tablets in quiet if they were having trouble sleeping, which struck me as an

PhDs were doctors long before MDs. Those dirty physicians stole the name!

I actually didn't understand what he said so I was just thinking, "Wait, what did he say his name was? Carl? (Those British accents). Is that supposed to mean something?"

Whatever it takes to get to the Rian Johnson movie(s).

That's as many as This Is The End got out of me too. I don't understand the appeal of that movie.

He's been in every Argentine movie I've ever seen. That's only like 3 or 4, but they've all been good. I assume he's like Tom Hanks down there.

The beach scene was almost too much for me to bear. It was one of the best movies of recent years, but I can't bring myself to watch it again because of that scene.

I wasn't quite sure what the point of the episode was, but your interpretation makes a lot more sense than the reviewer's. Thanks. I didn't think it was very funny, though.

"And one of the things that keeps popping up is about
"subtext." …But what do you call the message or meaning that's right there on
the surface, completely open and obvious? They never talk about that.
What do you call what's above the subtext?"
"The text.""OK, that's right, but they never talk about that."

My wife and I say "deal with it" a lot. We of course follow it up with the observation that, "Everyone's dealing with things now."

Exactly. One of things I like best about the movie is how well it seemed to understand baseball. It's funny too.

Ni!

I thought it was Meth Damon.

Personally, VIII is the only one I care about - Rian Johnson's movie. I can't get excited for JJ Abrams' take on anything and I'm pretty neutral on Star Wars. But, giving the reigns to a guy as creative as Johnson has me intrigued.

"1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! Yeah! Yeah, I got 6! I got 6. I got 6 at the sun stare." - Brian Regan

Eh, I didn't think it was very good.

No, I'm pretty sure you're right. I feel like the author of the piece really didn't understand the movie; I certainly don't see it presenting satisfaction in having the nerd beat the jocks. They're all kind of terrible and Zuckerberg is probably worse. However, by being worse, he created something that had a far

I'll still take 2001 and that movie's almost 50 years old. The only visuals I remember from Prometheus is a swole white dude, waterfalls and the falling spaceship. Maybe I need to watch it again, but I really don't want to.

Yeah, mine can do quite a few too. The problem is the TVs won't display it all at once. The built-in tuners allowed you to view two shows at once and the size of the screen (and software, I guess) allowed you to split them in half. It was one of the main reasons I bought an HDTV, as it seems like something that any
