Agreed. The first one I remember involved a kid saying he wanted a big treehouse because then you could have a Disco in it. I found it quite implausible that a 7 year-old would have the foggiest idea about disco or that John Travolta dance. And, yes, the rest of their "cute" comments sound completely scripted.
Didn't Cooper say that the good salary and other similar things were one of the main reasons he joined the LAPD? If it was him, then that's an interesting shift in his perspective - like he's forgotten what he used to be like.
