You're doing something right, clearly! Trolls single out people who stand out, so good job!
She was pretty bad in Percy Jackson too.
I love Edinburgh. I haven't seen enough of Britain to know about the rest of your statement, but the architecture is bewitching. Nowhere in the US can claim such an aura of centuries passing. Maybe the Grand Canyon, I dunno. That's one thing Europe definitely has over us.
I was too old to really fall in love with the books, but I have a soft spot for Young Adult novels, and fantasy in particular.
Cars 2 was a pet project of Lasseter; he was going to push for it no matter what, and the shit ton of money Cars the first made was hardly going to convince them otherwise.
All of THG disappointed me, but this especially.
I'll have to check it out! I love them both.

Liked in general, but specifically for Emily Watson.
@avclub-b54d138b13c97bbd565796787ff23531:disqus I'm not trying to prolong an argument, but I'm not feigning anything. We can't prove that anyone is who they claim to be, so you don't know for sure if everyone's white or indeed anyone.
@avclub-6ca57d2774f04ac8acf3d2b10f0338f4:disqus ah, clearly you have no younger sisters/nieces/daughters, etc. i know many people who bought jonas brothers music.
@avclub-589622fb3974db41fbe4a37b78d8585c:disqus You managed to be much less condescending than both him and everyone else in this thread, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Participating in a 5-page, several hundred comment thread can be fun, but I honestly prefer the smaller pages, where it's clear that everyone commenting really likes/is intrigued by the work in question, and really wants to discuss it with likeminded, respectful folk.
I recognize that I am the problem, but I don't immediately sneer at that Vinnie talk show on MTV. The previews for it didn't seem completely awful; it's as much about laughing at/with his crazy family as him. Seems like much less drinking.
Richard's cluelessness/obtuseness/self-importance is so great. All the little subtleties of High WASP culture.
Now I'm going to be disappointed when this doesn't happen.
I'm really shocked Sea of Monsters is even getting made. I enjoyed the books (they're quite fun fantasy for middle schoolers, deftly handling Greek mythology), but the first movie was terrible. In true Columbus fashion, he stripped away all the little joys of the novel for splashy effects and dumb jokes. The…
For the snark, no doubt.
It was MUCH better than I expected, based on the trailers.
