Ah yes! Thanks to your erudite and trenchant response I have discovered that I did, indeed, misunderstand 30 seconds of dialogue and have thus ruined television for everyone.

nah, vicks is still around, causing trouble on The Middle boards. of course, that doesn't mean they're not the same person…
@avclub-6ffc79f9decf633c29b09e6c25621195:disqus , it's not even 10 AM yet and now I really want a Bananas Foster. Thanks a lot.
I'll take it!
Lordy, your vitriol is unwarranted.
@spinachleaf:disqus Again, I don't see it as a problem. I think Leslie is flawed and I think their support of her is flawed and I think this show is flawed. But I don't think it warrants the harshness of your criticism.
They were actually a lot nicer to him that I'd have expected!
Seems to me this comment is just as over-the-top as you claim the show has now become.
She's had great comedic moments; we just haven't seen them in a while. Like whenever she gets nervous, especially when she babysat Diane's kids…
Did anyone else's heart kind of break when April said "I think Ben's wrong for you?" I was really hoping that comment would be addressed later in the episode, because it seemed so unexpected. I love Ben, and I thought April liked him a lot too, even though she gives him shit all the time.
@avclub-de45e063b937f049ffefc9302cded220:disqus But why call people "trash" at all? Call them idiotic, call them uneducated, call them disrespectful, call them addicts (if they are) or losers or sleazy or gross, but don't call them trash. Nobody should be called trash.
@avclub-84ca205fe6bc691c41c3bfe5a2820a15:disqus , I read @avclub-7a3a5778db9271d6f93523c8050ba200:disqus 's comment as a response to @avclub-62812d8eb06386505986efff8b5e43ac:disqus , not you. I thought you were clear, and I agree.
I wish…
Roger Ebert once talked about how modern day hip-hop really is like the black community's version of Bob Dylan and '60s-era folk, in terms of discussing power and politics and personal struggles with society, and that a lot of snooty suburban white people didn't understand it at all, because they're put off by the…
I think Axl was a huge ass this episode, but I have slightly more sympathy for him than you do — it shouldn't have been a surprise to Darrin that Axl is immature and very vocal about dismissing his little sister constantly. Darrin really was going on and on about how perfect she is; it makes sense that Axl would…
Yeah, I think it's pretty clear that Darrin is crazy about Sue, whereas she just liked him, and probably liked that someone liked her for a change. (A guy who actually wanted to date her, I mean.)
Good point about Sue embarrassing him. Sue is obviously my favorite, but I have a soft spot for Axl as a kid who has a lot of feelings and is still learning how and when to articulate them.
I didn't know that, but it makes a lot of sense.
@avclub-62812d8eb06386505986efff8b5e43ac:disqus , yeah but people throw that term around just after a first impression (see: people on public transportation). There is literally no way you could know all those things about someone when you first meet them; nor, frankly, is it your business at all what their…
Yeah, I think the New York Times even had a piece about it several months ago.
