I'm a gay man and I was incredibly, supremely unnerved by the way he repeated that phrase. Absolute terror factor and total rape vibes.

That's the exact tune the song is sung in, though?

Well, we can safely ignore your opinions on just about everything else, then.

The Shavepate had a long-standing hatred for Hizdahr's family, the Sons of the Harpy, and the Green Grace. He is the only one calling for murder of the nobles, saying that peace is impossible. It's also a matter of timing: Shavepate orders that Dany be guarded by JUST the Brazen Beasts on the day of the poisoned

This is incorrect and you should go read the new blog post series on Meereeneese Blot which is attempting to show that Dany's plot is actually quite genius. Anyway, you're incorrect here because it was the Shavepate. He used Hizdahr as a patsy like Littlefinger did the Lannisters.

You would be one of a very, very small amount of people to say this. Congrats!

By far my album of the year. It doesn't best The ArchAndroid (whose highs, Tightrope + Cold War, are songs no one in music has topped yet), but it's far more accessible and I find myself listening to the whole album much more than I ever did AA. That said, Q.U.E.E.N. is the gay anthem our community has been waiting

Still ended up being a quick read. Read it in a week at least. Loved that book.

I have always felt the Nick/Jess relationship stuff has dragged down the show, and it really has. This episode was a welcome return to the stuff that was funny — everything not involving Nick and Jess' relationship. If they hadn't gone that route, it might have been on par with, say, Happy Endings, but it's still

Feel like you were being kinda harsh with this episode. It was easily an A- for how incredible the arena battles were.

No one cares.

Slow motion, lots of jumping, and yelling, have been a part of the series since day one. The show has only become ten times better than its origins. Spartacus 2.0 is phenomenal.

There have been a flood of articles about Enlightened from TIME to Salon to Vulture to a billion other prestigious sites. And the pushback against Enlightened praise is ridiculous and completely idiotic.

That's part of why Season 1 is great — it has this floating, dream-like, ethereal quality to its plotting that is a reflection of Amy being a wanderer in an unknown world, learning to speak its language. Season 2 is about her learning the language and using it to turn that world upon its head.

If that's what you think Enlightened is about, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
