I mentioned this the other day, but it's been a shitty decade (so far) for animation. There have been a few very good movies but when compared to the previous two decades it's appalling.

It hasn't been a great decade for animation between Pixar losing steam and Studio Ghibli winding down.

I haven't been able to see the movie yet, but that's a punk move. You need a little patina on the film before it bears that sort of consideration.
