Oh man, Marvin Gaye and Tiny Tim would be a dream lineup for me too! JB/JT could've been awesome, as well.
Not too into Kenny G, but I totally agree with what you're saying about this being a stellar bill. So jealous!

I remember that Alexander Payne/Laura Dern comedy Citizen Ruth as being a sneakily astute commentary on how the national abortion debate and people's beliefs overshadow individual situations and lead to the wellbeing of everyone involved being pretty much ignored. But then I was a teenager when I saw it, so my…
Does the graffiti reveal really qualify as a jump cut?
Sure it breaks the 30 degree rule, but I don't think the camera placement is similar enough to give the sense of disruption to continuity that you'd get from a proper jump cut.
Marah, per DBA's site: If you tonearm is catching on the book binding simply place a standard 7” record two page below the flexi you are playing. This will lift the surface level and allow the proper clearance.
I had sex with your wife.
Yeah, Jaguar Love had some nice stuff on that EP, but it was a big step down from BB. Blood Brothers wouldn't have worked if you stripped away any of their myriad elements. I think it was pretty clear from the start that Jaguar Love were missing something.
Didn't Jaguar Love rerecord most of that EP for their next…
I still have a massive soft spot for The Blood Brothers. They're screamo, right?
Also Loma Prieta are crazy good live. I saw them playing in a cellar a few years ago with Punch and The Men, loudest concert ever. Physically painful, actually.
It's Dogme95.
I don't see where you're getting the Fucking Åmål connection. It's not any more in line with the whole Dogme thing than most other low budget indie movies from that time period. Good movie, though. Not sure I'd place it above any of the Von Trier stuff I've seen, but that's not a put done since I…
Ahhh, I see. I remember the scene, but not that there were visible man bits.
Fast and Furious 7 is a working title, right? After Fast & Furious I was hoping they'd carry on making the titles almost identical to one another.
Still available:
Fast 'n' Furious
Fast and the Furious
The Fast and Furious
Fast/Furious
and Fast and Furryous, which will star Brendan Fraser.
You mean Will Smith?
I suppose all men in black look the same to you, huh?
There was penis in this movie?
I have no recollection of that whatsoever.
Here in Sweden there's this weird subculture of old men who cruise around in 50s American muscle cars. They get together in big groups and just drive around the block at like 30km/hr all day. Sometimes they have confederate flag decals.
Larry David produced Envy? That really shitty looking movie from a decade ago that I know nothing about because I, like everyone else, didn't bother seeing it?

There are people who haven't forgotten about Black Swan yet?

Who is driving? Ohmigod Bear is driving how can that be!?!?!?
So it finally happened. Rob Schneider has finally become old and defeated enough that I actually pity him more than I hate him. I really didn't see this coming. I think I need to lie down.
This was one of my first thoughts too. Everyone in SY has 1000 side projects to occupy themselves with, except for poor Mark Ibold. He just has to hope some other seminal 'indie/alternative' band will recruit him in 5 years, like last time.
