I will miss all y'all tons! There's always The Avocado.

Yes, they are in fact still human beings. Being wealthy does not make one less of a human being.

Ooof, sorry there was an incident like that. Hope things get better for him and your family, too!

Douay–Rheims, a very active AV Clubber of old, who now owns The Tolerability Index Forum.

I am sorry to make you a sad, then. I just won't use Kinja.

Ah, that I didn't know.

I hope things get better for her. PTSD is awful, I know from experience. My mom has bipolar and I know enough people with various other mental illnesses to know how awful THOSE can be to deal with, too.

Per the FAQ, if we use their claim form to get a Kinja account with our current usernames, we'll automatically be out of the greys.

Of course. If you have any Avocado questions let me know. DRC is the person to ask about TIF stuff.

Thanks, Sean, that's nice of y'all to set up for us!

I asked your question early on in the thread and it was answered in the body of the Newswire! Unfortunately it is not a good answer: there will be grays, they did not tell us how that decision will be made: http://www.avclub.com/artic…

Seconded

Not gonna lie, I came up with this as I was falling asleep last night and was SO PROUD.

I'm a poet and I didn't even know it!

Maybe give the Tolerability Index Forum a try? It's a little less insanely paced. Alternatively, you could try some of the smaller discussions at The Avocado, like the Book Nook.

I was literally physically ill from Spot.IM. It was impressive!

I generally try to keep more decorum, but since I'll be quitting commenting here with the switch anyway: man, I will not miss dudes like you at all.

Kinda? But I don't think people would feel as comfortable there doing their usual subthreads, and I want people who are used to the RD format to have a similar place to go.

Oh we definitely have trolls.

As long as the AV Club doesn't ask us not to, we'll happily host those/similar discussions on The Avocado. I'm already planning to do Reasonable Discussions there.
