I "got" Bob Dylan for a about 4 years, and then about a year ago, I started no longer giving a shit and gave up on him. I sold all my Dylan CDs.

I watched with my daughter when she was 5, and she's not easily scared, and she was fine, enjoyed it , but didn't really get it. She seems to like Mononoke better, but we haven't returned to SA since she's turned 7. I might try watching it with her again. We watched Gremlins last week after I completely forgot how

The train ride scene transports me to another place and makes me cry just because of the sheer weight of its presence on the screen. I realize that sounds totally ghey, but it's true. It's like a childhood memory that touches the depth of your soul.

I'd buy one of each.

I just gave TWoAF the car test and that shit fucking owns. I'll be acquiring it through legal channels directly. Is it out domestically?

She's more of an older school indie kinda girl (Dirty 3, Neutral Milk Hotel, Silver Jews, etc.), although she's come around to Blood Mountain. She can't really take the cookie monster voice, so I save the Protest the Hero, Opeth, and Bison BC for when I'm driving my 2 year old to day care.

Just "acquired" The Way of All Flesh. Pretty great so far.

I've been returning to Remission a lot recently, having started on Leviathan. Remission has led me to check out other bands and I've landed on Bison BC's "Quiet Earth" which I think is pretty fuckin' awesome. I loved High on Fire's "Death is this Communion" as well. The only problem with all of this metal is that the

What's your favorite Elliott Smith album?

Founteens o' Waynes..
I'm unable to enjoy "Welcome Interstate Managers" by Fountains of Wayne (which I feel, despite those who hate, is a solid pop album with some crazy good hooks) because I began listening to it about a week before my (suddenly lesbian!) wife left me and took our daughter. I then continued to listen

Just finished Season 1 last night, moving on to Season 2. It gives me that A-Team type of feeling (helping the little guy, building shit out of shit, drugging Mr. T's milk) and I find all 3 of the main characters very likable. The show also taught me that I should go limp if I'm ever used as a human shield.

Still a bit stuck…
Oh, how I've hated AC. Believe me, I tried to drink the Kool Aid every time a new record came out, including the Panda Bear. So again, I try and I hear track 1 and think more of the same, but then I hear "My Girls" and something clicked. I'm not saying I'm going to start making love to this record,

Steve Winwood and Opeth on the same list. You, my friend are the posterchild for diversity. Thanks for reminding me to check out that Mudcrutch record.

Good list
Ya'll haters drinking the haterade can step off.

Why do I read comments?
They always make me want to die.

It just didn't work for me…
I tried this about 3 times when it first leaked with the mindset of "a new Portishead record!!" and I came out the other end horribly disappointed. Then I revisited it with "oh hey, check out this new band called Portishead" and sadly I still think it sux bawls. It feels unfinished, empty

Polly Jean Gallo
I'd like to state for the record that PJ Harvey peaked at "Rid of Me" and then began a downward spiral into insanity and crap. Everything after Rid of Me is garbage, including TBYML. Yeah, I said it.

I went back and listened to some Live the other day and man that shit is embarrassing.

I just like it.
Odd, I just like this album because it sounds good and makes me and the family dance.
