According to the OB comics, Hendrix is Alison's surname. Donnie's (bachelor) surname is Chubbs.

That is exactly what I yelled when I first watched "Empty Places" (a.k.a. the episode where the Scoobies threw Buffy out of her own house).
SPOILERY BOOK DISCUSSION cont'd:
I remember reading a description of Cumberbatch that said he looked like "the middle stage of an Animorphs cover".
I don't find Mycroft/Joan particularly compelling, nor do I think it makes much sense for Joan's character, but it's probably the best we could've hoped for this season as far as romantic subplots for Joan go.
I don't know what reviewer that commenter is referring to, but Mike Hale's recent NY Times review was rather dismissive (according to him, she lacks range).
That scene was laughable & Cal was unrealistically forgiving.
I found Evelyne Brochu's performance this week a little unsettling -
Delphine seemed oddly detached and unfazed by Cosima's coughing fits or the fact that she was standing over a corpse that looked like her
girlfriend.
I would love that. The only pairing I ship on Orphan Black is Helena/Food.
I'm sure Delphine is hiding all sorts of things - I mean, in addition to the dying clone the Dyad Institute had stashed away, what she did with Cosima's blood samples, the fact that she & Leekie used to be lovers, etc.
Yeah, I suspected there was a heterosexual tryst in Margot's future when the lovely and feminine Katharine Isabelle first walked onscreen & she was basically the physical antithesis of book Margot (i.e. a butch bodybuilder built like a brick shithouse) and I can't say I'm thrilled with how it all played out.
In season 1, once Cosima suggested they might all have monitors, Alison immediately started investigating Donnie. That it literally took her about 20 minutes to find incriminating evidence & witness suspicious behavior in her own house suggests that Donnie was never a particularly stealthy and careful monitor.
There's no way Alison isn't a veteran of at least 6 different women's self-defense courses, including one that provides training on how to properly deploy aerosol defense sprays against an attacker. I bet she even has a "Pepper Spray Defense Course" certificate of completion.
I think the lying was partly an attempt at damage control - TJ Scott, one of the show's directors, sent out a tweet a few months ago expressing enthusiasm for Tatiana's performance as Helena in an episode he just shot. It was deleted (I'm guessing right after Scott said, "Oh, shit" as he scrolled through all the…
When NSA agent Denton Weeks threatened to reduce payment for the Machine when he learned about the restrictions Finch programmed into it, Nathan informed him that he was selling the machine to the government for $1.00.
I was cheering Jesse on when he was going all Waiting to Exhale on Walt's house.
Eric will probably save himself by crashing through the frozen surface of a nearby body of water and sinking to the bottom to protect himself from the sun's rays.
The wad of cash the usually broke Twitch was carrying on top of whatever he dropped as a deposit for that apartment, his PO suddenly taking him off probation, & the long tormented stare into the mirror that is film/TV-speak for "I am full of inner turmoil" seems to indicate that he was involved in something nefarious.
I fell in love when she hit the dance floor, severed tail in hand.
The reaction to Orphan Black is making me more optimistic about her shot at an Emmy nomination. The common counter-argument is that neither John Noble or Anna Torv were ever nominated for their (sci-fi) work so it's unlikely Maslany will be, but I don't think they ever received the groundswell of high profile support…
