Good criticisms, above. My biggest disappointment was how rehearsed many speeches came over, even by documentary standards. Ernie Cline came over as self-infatuated and trite. Wow, you are driving around with E.T. in the passenger seat; you are SO quirky yet real.

It has very good ingredients including great casting, but the writing usually tries to out-clever the viewers in ways that regularly veer into the impossible (i.e., you rarely can play along at home and solve the mystery, as you will be bound by physics, plausibility, and human behavior). But, I love the show anyway.
To truly honor him, include him waving [spoiler] to Mr. Mordren's head on a pike. One of the best (though not super-surprising) payoff shots ever. Or him catching all the food thrown to him from off screen in Animal House in the grocery store scenes. Well done, sir.
