The questions raised by the Smash universe are so much more interesting than the actual show.  Who was Sutton Foster married to?  Does Bernadette Peters exist or was her career absorbed by Ivy's mom?  If Rent was a thing, who played Mimi and Collins in the original cast?  Why am I pondering these things at 2:30 am?
