I got my name from rock and roll.

Nice work Erik.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

Hardly a week goes by that I don't listen to something he wrote. This is gonna take a while to sink in …

And still saddened by how brief and fleeting it all is.

It's what they were best at. I'm convinced of that.

I would be shocked, SHOCKED if Heller and Ryan didn't both have a pretty full obit already sketched out and on file.

I'll almost certainly never get married, but I always thought "After Hours" would be rather nice.

"Oh sweet nothin …"

Goddamnit. I've been having a pretty awful afternoon and I've had Built to Spill's Nowhere Nothing Fuckup in my head for hours (that's the one that borrows verses from Oh Sweet Nothin') and I log on and see this. I'm so fucking drained right now that words fail me. The guy contained multitudes. For some reason Who

"Look, it's really just a broadened interpretation of quantum linear superposition …"

I'd add the library scene as well.

Really? We're deferring to the fucking French now? And here I thought hating them was the one thing that would always bind us together …

Also the Predator, the 1986 version of The Fly (the one at the end), the fucking Rancor. It is possible to do the rubber suit thing right.

Quiet you.

The dubstep stuff seemed to echo the music from the title sequence. Those whispering "yayas" are totally from some vintage slasher franchise, but I'll be damned if I can remember which off the top of my head.

Slow down.

It's not so much a movie as a collection of terrible and/or utterly pointless, unrelated scenes.

Corman, in particular, was a very competent director and was capable of really great work, I'm especially fond of his Poe movies with Vincent Price. But holy shit could he toss off some execrable nonsense. I mean, I get it, shoot 5 or 6 practically unwatchable movies over few months time, then pour your resources

… you youngsters have to promise not to forget … cause soon we'll all be gone … the only ones who remember … the only ones left who were there … when MTV played music videos … soon we'll all be dead … and it'll be like it never happened at all …
