I agree — it would probably be pretty entertaining, but the shows would probably be too obscure. I don't think pilots even get aired anymore. More like they're made for network execs to view and evaluate. I remember the glory days of seeing bizarre, high concept pilots air as specials and hope that if the ratings

I'm gonna ask what we're all wondering
Was there really something wrong with Ed O'Neill's face ? Those weren't prosthetics and spirit gum puckers the face up only so much. But really, what happened ? O'Neill gets Bell's palsy and they write it into a B story ?

Worth watching anytime
But if I see this on cable I try to stick with it long enough to see Jennifer Tilly silhouetted in a doorway in a very flimsy nightgown.

I was on "Remote Control" back in the day. A lot of fun, bragging rights, some cool prizes ( SPOILER ALERT: I won ) The only bad thing - I was on the syndicated rather than the MTV version so not many people saw it when it originally aired.

I thought it was a pretty good episode overall but i totally agree about the laziness of Alex's two — or probably 3, given the comedy rule of 3 — lines. Talk about throwing somebody a bone.

I'm not a viewer of "reality" shows so last night's show did seem like some bizarre backdoor pilot rather than a regular episode. Really not a good sign that you have to be a fan of "X shows" to appreciate this episode of "Y". If I were big on letter grades I'd give this a C- at best.

Noel neglected to mention that this box set is made up of four Joel episodes. I've been psyched about this since it was first announced.

Erin & Gabe
What's with them coming in late together with a weird excuse about "Gabe fell in the shower … and by the time the firemen got there …"

Jay Leno
From his appointment television appearances on "Late Night" back in the mid 80's, where he had a schtick as an angry comic ( " What's my beef ? What's ridin' me ? What's needlin' me ? What's stickin' in my craw ? " ) to the hacky middle of the road comic who stole "The Tonight Show" out from under David

Gabe has definitely been set up as a jerk from the get-go. Inflicting horror movies on Erin isn't a suprising step here. The weird part is I'm a horror fan and I can tell you that you've got to have a pretty solid relationship before forcing horror choices on your lady … plus you've got to a tea cozy pic (as I

That was "Visions of the Dark Knight", an anthology put out to hype "The Dark Knight Returns." Its got nothing to do with the DCU as we know it and is really only of interest as a curiosity.

I didn't think it was a blotter, I thought it was a seat cushion. Blankenship definitely seems the type to die with a full bladder and then … you know.

How about Joseph Gordon-Levitt ? He's got some acting chops but doesn't seem to think he's above comedy and as a child of the 80's he'd probably love to be part of the Ghostbusters legacy. Plus I can see him as the offspring of Murray & Weaver.

Don't forget Daly as the lead on the attempted 90's re-vamp of "The Fugitive". I thought it was actually pretty good ( and if you want to piss off my father-in-law bring up how it was cancelled on a cliffhanger note )

Once you'd seen National Lampoon, MAD was just greasy kid stuff.

I'm not getting it
This was pretty sad. The big "pan down the line of comics outside" looked more like the line for a soup kitchen.
I know Kindler, I know Giraldo … who the hell is this Natasha/Nancy chick ? She's a player on the Chelsea Handler show ?? BFD ! Never EVER heard of her before.
Way too much footage of

The story is "Parson's Pleasure" from Dahl's collection "Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life" — a great, cynical collection of some of Dahl's stories.

Who was movie Tony ?
Obviously we recognize Chris Kattan and Mailin Ackerman ( she has the roundest head this side of Charlie Brown ) but who was the movie version of Tony ? He looked familiar and his bizarrely chiseled features were like a great parody of movie-star handsomeness.

As far as best detectives you've got to include Jerry Orbach, natch, but I prefer his team-up with Chris Noth. On thoses rare occassions when the no-nonsense 1-2 punch of manly New York cops comes up in the rerun rotation I'm tuned in even if its an ep I've seen numerous times before.

When one of my local Hollywood Videos closed ( and I bought a couple of dozen discs, easily ) they had you visually inspect every disc you bought and there were no refunds, returns or exchanges. I'm suprised you weren't put through the same drill.
