Movie Gallery ? Are those sons-of-bitches still around ? I managed a video rental store that was part of a small chain for about 5 years, MG took over and I was out in 6 months — and in those 6 months I had more freakin' headaches than in the previous 5 years with the old owners. Sons-of-Bitches.

I give it a C-. Not enough Robin and waaay too much Douchey Ted. I mean waaay too much in both the amount of screen time Ted recieved as well as the extreme heights to which his douchiness has risen. Worst episode in some time.

I'd say Stuart is good as an occasional guest star — his role is perfect as-is, managing the comic book store ( where we'll see the guys every couple of episodes ) or being a link to the infrequent stunt-casting guest star ( Stan Lee, Wil Wheaton ) through the comic book store.

New character for Stacy 512… Yeah, still hate-worthy.

@HB,B - "Cleveland Guy" ? How quickly we forget Floyd, probably the best boyfriend Liz ever had. He was funny, decent looking and he's come as close as anyone on this show to "getting" Liz. The only reason they broke up was because as awesome as Cleveland is ( in "30 Rock" world ), it's no New York.

I've heard from somebody else in "the business" ( who wrote at SNL and knows Koechner ) that he was fired from Saturday Night Live for the sin of being bald.

Wow … Thanks ! You learn something new every day.

The Partridge Family …
featured an episode where they introduced Bobby Sherman and … I'm thinking Paul Sand playing a songwriter/lyricist pair. I remember Bobby supposedly being the dreamy one and Paul the wacky guy ( He owned his own suit of armor.) I think they were even mentioned as being added to the Kincaid

Funny looking at the cast listings for the more recent incarnations of TZ. You've got your "has-beens", your "never-weres" and occasionally an " Oh-my-God, is-that … ?"

This has been done before
I've got a dvd collection of failed pilots ( a bootleg picked up at a comic con ) that includes a 1973 version of just what this show is described as. It includes Don Martin/Spy vs. Spy schtick, "Behind the scenes at … a hospital", "The Academy Awards for Parents" and the centerpiece is an

Belle & Sebastian

Megan Mullally also did a guest role on "30 Rock" playing a social worker evaluating Liz based on Liz's application to adopt a baby. Many "pretend everything is normal" gags ensue and Mullally acquits herself quite well in what could have been a one-note "uptight authority figure" role.

Susan Sarandon on "Sesame Street"
Had to escape a rainstorm by seeking refuge in the castle of The Count. As I recall she entered with a newspaper covering her head and she thanked The Count for letting her in by saying " I was stuck out in a storm like this once before and … I don't even like to think about it !"

Vanessa Ferlito
is perhaps the oddest looking woman who is supposed to be attractive in a mainstream movie. I'm guessing that she was born with one nostril that was later surgically sculpted into two. Kind of.

Laura Prepon had a guess shot as one of Ted's skanks on "How I Met Your Mother"

Where are the "Die Hard" rip-offs ??
You'd hardly have any action movies at all through the late 80's/early 90's if not for the … on a plane ("Passenger 57"), … on a train ("Under Seige") … starring Anna Nicole Smith ("Skyscraper") variations.

I really like the idea of Tio trying to describe Walt to the cousins in a guessing game format. Like the most intense game of "Guess Who ?" ( Is your person bald ? Does your person have a moustache ? Does your person look like he's gone through Chemo ? ) EVER !

A Hollywood Video near me is closing as well. Pretty good prices on their leftover inventory. Remainders from the new release wall are 5.99/ 3 for 15, Catalog stuff is 3.99/ 3 for 10. So far I've picked up a couple dozen DVDs — filling gaps in my collection and buying things I wanted to see but couldn't find to rent

I like the car horn sketch too. A good example of an original and well-performed sketch that is buried at 12:55, but is one of the more memorable segments of an otherwise forgettable episode. That's how "Wayne's World" started ( not that I'm waiting for a "car horn" movie. )

I concur. Even if Romero had never done his living dead series I'd hold this as a favorite of 70's horror.
