Yes, exactly, the hypocrisy of the second film bothers me A LOT.  It's why I always bristle to hear Berlinger and Sinofsky hailed as great filmmakers (well, and the Metallica movie).  But I'm really glad to hear other people had the same problem, and the filmmakers seem uncomfortable about it too.

I like the implication that it *could* be a secret.

Wet Hot is great, but … you haven't seen Anchorman?   Or any other Apatow movie?

You might want to google the latest news on Anchorman 2's prospects.

Lady Gaga WISHES she had that fucking solo.

You can't help looking at the notification when someone replies to you on Modern Warfare.

And Peter Jackson will never direct for New Line again.

Today I was forwarded a six-month old local news clip, presumably from the South Bend area. It featured a local homeowner getting his a/c repaired.  The local homeowner is the world's most prominent theist analytic philosopher.  This was never mentioned in the segment.   Nothing will be funnier than that today.  www.yo

That special is inexplicably the source of most of my pop culture knowledge of War and Peace.  I think for a long time I had a semiconscious fear of being assigned W&P for school.

Absolutely underrated, especially as a version of 9/11.  It made me like Spielberg again.  (and I disliked Minority Report)

Andy Daly was in it.  Whitney does not have an Andy Daly.  Therefore, Whitney should stay on this list.  QED.

Luther has its moments.  Wackadoo ridiculous grand guignol pulp moments.  Definitely worth checking out, but this is B-level material.  The funny thing is, it seems clear Idris Elba thinks this is the best thing he's ever done.  He's very proud of Lutha.

littlealex is correct.  While more people died in, say, Banda Aceh or Bhopal, there is a qualitative distinction between those disasters and an event caused by a couple dozen people who set out to murder tens of thousands (and destroy a branch of government) in the space of a couple hours.

Colin Hanks was adorable on CDR, especially talking about the music video for Dragnet.  He gets a pass because of that.

Half the shows mentioned don't film in Chicago, though.

I can't believe all the commenters here who think Watson is not a big deal.  You guys must be real experts in AI!

yay!  AVC answered my holiday wish!  I loved this special as a kid.

The worst of Sandler is self-indulgent, unfunny, cynical exploitation that is often highly offensive.

This is the first time I am hearing of the circus people put down.

Hold up, is Enemencio's comment meant to imply that we're all under a mass delusion that Jon Hamm is good-looking?
