Community is good again! Easily the pop culture highlight of my weekend, it was a delight to see this show return to being one of my favorite shows to something fairly close to its former glory. Both episodes felt a bit clunky in places, particularly "Repilot", but I'm eagerly anticipating new episodes, something I

I believe this is just referring to shows that don't already have a "Best Of" article written about them. The Americans has already been covered, and in greater detail than any of these shows. Here's a link to the article: http://www.avclub.com/artic…

I think the only new novel I read this year was The Ocean at the End of the Lane, which was pretty great. I think I liked it more than most people, at least, and it's probably my favorite of Gaiman's books since American Gods.

Hmm, I'll have to give it a couple of listens, and give the first one another chance. I just personally feel like Coheed hasn't had a truly good album since Apollo pt.1.

Was the second of those recent Coheed albums a massive improvement over the first? Because I really didn't like that album.

Hmm, at the moment I personally prefer Yeezus, but I think you make some good points, particularly re: MBDTF being an encapsulation of previous albums, and the better album lyrically.

I agree, although I think the more obvious comparison to the sound of Yeezus would be El-P rather than Death Grips.

I liked Wilson's album, but it was a felt a bit too derivative of 70s prog for me to make my list.

Man, I also like to go onto websites that mostly covers music I hate so that I can make statements concerning the objective quality of said music. And yeah, what's with the lack of metal on here; they could have at least made Deafheaven's Sunbather the #3 album of the year or something, right?

Yeah, the fedora is pretty much the staple garment of your average Fall Out Boy fan.

My top 20 (of course it's subject to change as I listen to more new stuff from this year/change my mind about stuff):
20. Protest the Hero-Volition
19. Eight Bells-The Captain's Daughter
18. Run the Jewels-Run the Jewels
17. Janelle Monae-The Electric Lady
16. Sigur Ros-Kveikur
15. DeafheavenSunbather
14. Pusha T-My

He really is the best. I even that Old Spice commercial that he was in a few months back to be mildly amusing, which is saying a lot given how much I hate commercials.

Does Disaster Artist contain any mention to what was so inferior about those first 31 takes of the "OhhaiMark" scene.

I'm kind of sad that Borgen is going to be over next week for those of us in the US; I've really enjoyed this show. But referring to the episodes you watched this week, I enjoyed the fact that "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery" approached a topic with a bit more subtlety and ambiguity than Borgen is typically wont to

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: This show is great. That last scene where they're all at Thanksgiving dinner was borderline-P&R level heartwarming. Also, Terry had the funniest line in anything I saw this week: "Why wouldn't you [put baking soda into mashed potatoes instead of salt]? They're both white powders; of course

Yeah, exactly, the only "lesson" that Peralta learned this week was to get over hating Thanksgiving.

"I think the rats might have gotten into the food."

I think I need to re-evaluate the films too, but yeah, that's a really good point re: the timelessness of the first film vs. the reliance on pop culture references in the second film.

Yeah, I'm definitely not calling any opinion that differs from my own invalid. I just didn't think that the first one was as moving as either of the sequels, but maybe I'm off in presenting my opinion as the majority one.

Toy Story is great, but also, in the minds of the majority of Pixar fans, the least of the three Toy Story films, so if you haven't seen the sequels, then, I'm not saying you should drop whatever it is you're doing and watch them now, but that might not be a bad idea.
