Reflektor is so divisive that that doesn't surprise me. The thing that Hyden wrote after RAM came out summarizes why it's a really fun album but not good enough to be AOTY. m b v has some dull tracks in the first half that I think stop it from being AOTY worthy. There were a bunch of really good episodes in the second half of season 3 (O.T. the Outside Toilet ftw) but season 4 hasn't wowed me much so far. Still my #2 network comedy of the year.

I guess those of us who have been paying more attention to Todd aren't as surprised
Yes, Todd had multiple problems with the final season of Breaking Bad. I expect that it would be in his next 10.
I think you are wrong because more of those movies will be available on DVD or Netflix as time goes on and it will be better to have a list of all the best movies of the year, not just the ones that were readily available when they came out.
I think he's just saying it could be a new show so that we won't be able to eliminate anything. Bob's Burgers seems more likely than Orphan Black.
