Check the dates I mentioned.  This would be something along the lines of the Interregnum Years, or the Wilderness Years.

There is a "Doctor blows up Gallifrey" sequence in the BBC novel "The Ancestor Cell," but it's quite a bit different than the backstory referenced in the current TV series.  It's further complicated by the fact that the novel line ends with the Doctor determined to restore the then-destroyed Gallifrey to existence.

It's weird, but I think the costume is the Achilles heel in both Pratt's and Beevers' performances, but for completely different reasons.  Pratt's costume - makeup in particular - was too much for him to provide an effective performance through, whereas Beevers' much more understated makeup makes him look like a monk

Don't know if this theory has been floated yet, but I'm wondering if the nuke orders and the missile shot at the Colorado came from two different factions within the US government - Curry has never owned up to ordering the attempted sinking of the sub in the pilot, and if someone thought the Colorado was about to fire

Which "select PBS stations" are these?  I'm sort of half-convinced that Rob Grant just made something up on the spot when he was asked "When will the new series be available in the US?" during an interview.

They missed a pretty decent gag by not having Mickey carefully compare Marvin and the sandwich/burrito before the swap, then discarding a few strands of lettuce, Indiana Jones-style.
