I always figured the 7th Doctor wasn't killed by defibrilation (sp?) per se, but more by internal injuries caused by laproscopy by a physician unfamiliar with Gallifreyan physiology.

Agreed, the resolution to the actual cube plot was too quick and easy.  For what it's worth, the Shakri haven't appeared before. Decent make-up, though.
