Great ideas, bad execution. The film really lost me during the scene that seemed like it was meant to be a bit of a homage to the original's "lets shoot the shit out the jungle". Except your characters don't look like badasses or even worth the predators' time when they get wrecked by tiny, alien hunting dogs.

I did not see it but when Bolt won the 100m I saw the insanely cute mascot for the first time, and it handed him one of those stuffed animals and he was walking around with it. Hilarious

I'm not a big Olympics guy but what I have watched has been pretty exciting (track/field and swimming). I wish I'd seen more fencing and boxing but the schedules and lack of coverage was not in my favor. Basketball is almost unwatchable due to the awful green court. Could be good for a crossover with Action Bronson…

I hope they revisit Empire soon. It's not great but I like the time period. I'd like to see it start a bit earlier and/or end a bit later as well. Or do 2 separate games to cover that wide stretch.

This weekend I'll likely sneak in a few rounds of Warhammer Vermintide and I may finally pick up Overwatch, though I'm still undecided on console vs PC. Also, I decided to try a new hobby of scale modeling and my first kit should arrive Saturday: a 1/72 Stuart tank. Looking forward to giving it a shot

i remember watching this and piranha late night on scifi during the summer as a kid in the 90s. back when they showed cool b movies instead of terrible, ironic shit they produce now. my favorite was alligator, it scared me when I first saw it but became fun for rewatches because of the crazy Cajun guy
