At least he didn't say "Take it all, baby" — the ep would have taken a turn . . .

Agreed.  And I like that, upon seeing scads of aliens wandering around, Clara was intrigued and excited without freaking out.

I was actually really happy to see a bunch of random aliens wandering around.  The rubber masks didn't bother me, and the variety of aliens in the marketplace gave me kind of a Star Wars Cantina vibe, minus any drunken brawls.

Is it bad that I was distracted/annoyed by the fact that the leaf did not match the one from last episode?  It was a maple leaf last time — I don't know what the hell kind of leaf it was this time.  How hard is it to find the same kind of leaf to maintain continuity for 2 measly episodes?  Sheesh.

I'd love to see Monica reappear, but I like Tracie Thoms.  There really is quite a growing list of recurring characters in PoI — now I want to see them all sauntering toward the camera together, Buckaroo Banzai-style.  Finch as Buckaroo, natch.

Only if they pronounce it 'DAY MWANZ'.

Ah, that's right the candy wrapper!  Just like Archer used (with Lana, right?).

Agreed that she doen't kill on a whim.  Disagreed that she doesn't relish it.  And yeah, fanatical is a good word for her, uh, attachment to Harold and The Machine.

Exactly, @drdarke:disqus — it's kind of a pro and a con for her.

I thought the wee baby Seamus was actually Barry's baby, or maybe it's just that Barry suspected so and thus set up his own switcheroo (since the security feed monitoring the blood sample went out for a few minutes).  Either way, Archer is not the biological daddy of the wee baby Seamus, he's just the one on the hook

I noticed.  I liked that it was not really remarked upon in the show, just there as a visual reference.

So, did anyone else hope that Monica Jacobs would become Shaw's Finch?  I mean, Monica getting a job at IFT was good and all, but being the tech-head to Shaw's badass-in-the-field would have been awesome.  Maybe one day.

Bear being the decoy and then cornering the security guards was delightful.  Go Bear go!

Yup.  Actress from Cold Case, and Death Proof (1/2 of Grindhouse).  Some other little details gone amiss:

And Bear was all "But I licked her in an ambulance and she seemed fine!  Stupid confusing humans."

The laptop bursting into flame clearly indicates that they needed a better firewall.

Wonder how Annie Parisse feels about that decision.

As much as I like Elias and his darker-side-of-moral-greyness, I really enjoy Root.  She's got that unhinged craziness going on — and boy, does Amy Acker play that well — but with a plausible (for this show) almost noble goal: she wants the AI to be free to make its own choices.  Of course, she's probably expecting
